A2Z Learning Centre (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs an after-school and holiday club at 95 Legrams Lane, Bradford, BD7 1NH, and provides a companion mobile app used by parents to manage pickup schedules and by our drivers to record pickups. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (www.a2zlearning.co.uk) and our mobile app, why we collect it, how it’s protected, and how you can request that your account and associated data be deleted.
1. Information collected through our website
When you browse www.a2zlearning.co.uk or get in touch via our Contact Us page, we may collect the details you choose to give us — such as your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your enquiry — in order to respond to you, discuss enrolment, or check eligibility for government-funded childcare support. We do not use this information for any purpose beyond responding to your enquiry and, where you go on to enrol a child, setting up your account.
2. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to remember your cookie preferences and to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You’ll see a cookie consent banner on your first visit, where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. Essential cookies (needed for the site to function) are used regardless, as permitted under UK data protection law. You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

4. How your data is protected
- All data in transit between the app (and website forms) and our servers is sent over HTTPS/TLS.
- App authentication is one-time-passcode based; we do not store traditional passwords for parent or driver accounts.
- Driver location is only transmitted while a pickup route is active and is used solely for live route coordination.
- Access to stored data is restricted to authorised centre staff who require it to operate the service.
5. Data retention
We retain attendance and pickup records for as long as your child is enrolled at the centre, and for a further period afterwards where required to meet our safeguarding, insurance, and legal record-keeping obligations. Website enquiry details are kept only as long as needed to respond to you, or until enrolment creates an ongoing account record. Account profile data (name, contact details) is retained only while your account is active, unless you request earlier deletion as described below.
6. Request account & data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed. To make a request, email us with your name and the Parent or Driver Reference used to activate your account.
We will confirm receipt within 5 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain (e.g. safeguarding and attendance records tied to a child’s enrolment period, which are retained per our retention policy above).

7. Sharing of data
We do not sell your personal data. Data is only shared with the third-party providers necessary to operate our services: Firebase (push notifications and app configuration), and our SMS/email providers for OTP delivery. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
8. Children’s data
Where the app or website processes information about a child (name, pickup schedule, attendance), this is provided and managed by the child’s parent or guardian as part of the centre’s enrolment agreement, not collected directly from the child.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
