I have always had a passion in wanting to care, inspire and encourage young children in a professional capacity, hence I chose a qualification which involves working with children. I hold a BA (Hons) in Youth and Community Studies.

I have 23 years of work experience and I have worked in different settings to broaden my knowledge. Each setting has been productive in ensuring that I was equipped to carry out my tasks effectively.

I have worked as a Learning Mentor, Youth Worker, Mental Health Support Worker, Fire Service Out-reach Worker, Community Development Officer, Quality Assurance Manager, Community Centre Manager and a Play Centre Manager.

Each role has challenged me and helped me to grow in experience. I have also always enjoyed working with young people and children, as these roles have given me great job satisfaction.

Analytical Amjad
Manager

My background comes from working as an IT Business Analyst in the financial sector for nearly 20 years. I hold a BA (Hons) and Economics and an MSc in Computing. As part of my work I would be responsible for compiling complex documentation which would be used for system enhancements.

My loved ones call me Mr Analytical – no matter how big or small the task I will go through it with a fine tooth comb.

At A2Z Learning Centre the safety of your child is paramount. I have been able to use my existing skills to compile the polices/procedures and other documentation that would be used to for running the Club in a safe and efficient manner; and in accordance with Ofsted’s guidance and regulations.

Technology seems to be playing a key part in everyday life – and this includes childcare. From computer suites/tablets to online learning schemes all seem to be playing an important part in children lives – but we still need to ensure that this is done in a safe manner. This is where my previous work experience puts me in a good position to ensure that children at A2Z Learning Centre have access to these facilities in a safe and secure manner.

I have completed the 12 hour Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding courses, amongst others training needed to ensure the safety of staff and children.

I love to learn new things, reading is my passion and history is one of my favourite subjects.

Human Resources Manager

My background comes from a HR field as a Training Consultant, devising and delivering training programmes. I hold a BA (Hons) Business and Organisation Studies and a Qualification Diploma in CIPD.

Being part of the Manager’s team at A2Z Learning Centre has allowed me to put my existing skills into practice in terms of managing and coordinating projects, also enabling me to work closely with the team’s training requirements.

Being organised and getting things done is what I am well known for, I love to take pride in my ability to structure and manage projects.

I have a currently 12 Hour Paediatric Level 3 First Aid certificate and a Safe Guarding certificate.

I am a strong believer of 100% quality and aim to provide this in my current role.

During my leisure time I enjoy socialising with family and friends and travelling.

Over a period of 30 years I have worked in a number of schools. My NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning has helped me gain great insights and knowledge needed to help and support children in different care settings. Working with children is my passion.

As a hobby I create natural based beauty products and bath balms.

Science Specialist 

Having spent 13 years as a science teacher at a science specialism school in Bradford, I have a track record in raising attainment in Key Stage 3 and 4. During this time 98% of the year 10 students achieved their target grades and the key stage 3 results increased, with most achieving 4 levels of progress

I am a passionate believer in allowing students to discover “How Science Works” through practical and independent enquiry and plan to keep this at the heart of science lessons as tweaks are made to the curriculum and mode of reporting progress. My students will be exceptional scientists and impervious to any imposed changes to the style of assessment.

Aside from teaching I enjoy going to the gym and spending quality time with my two boys.

I love a challenge and that is what each child I teach brings to me. Each child has their own unique way of learning and as their teacher I see it as my responsibility to change my approach appropriately.

My hobbies include football gym swimming going for walking in countryside.
